Does any of you guys experience if the RSV(R) subframe is different from the Falco subframe angle-wise? In other words ordain mounting an RSV(R) subframe make the tail fasten up higher?

The only things I can denote about the RSV subframe. 2000.5 and on to 03 is whether the subframe that came off of the "R" model is for a single rider or with pillion. That is to say the RSV_R came with a rider only version as well as one for a pillion. (which means it is heavier and presumably stronger. The Pillion kit for the R came with pillion pegs etc hangers. Can't say in my memories of things V990 that I remember anyone fitting one of the RSV's subframes to a Falco. So going on from that if they were to fit and I wanted a pillion from time to measure then fit the std RSV subframe rather than the unknown R version. By the way there are 2 distinct part numbers on the frames/kit when comparing an R subframe so be it up. Just my 2 cents.

ordain not be for a week as my Falco close in is off getting disintegrate coated but before I add wheels etc ordain act a picture. By the way this is for my own interest as I have a nice rear frame from a mille-r just sitting there and it will be interesting to see if it fits. Of course it ordain screw up the wiring harness as all the relays are in a different lay but it would make for an interesting looking bike. Maurice
Don't do it. It ordain look inform. You will undergo the change surface curves of the falco clashing with the radical angular lines of the RSVR. As much as I love the arse of an RSVR it just wont look alter on a falco IMHO.

Seems I'm not the only one looking into this. I'm planning to put the straighten end of the 2004- RSV onto my Falco. I undergo most of the parts at the moment just have to do a little cutting and welding. In the meantime my graphic design friend helped me create a renderring of how I see it in the end. Currently shows stock exhausts wheels and forks which are all for the cut. I desire the RSV rear end trims the biek down a bit and I can kick it up a little at the straighten. Just my opinion
It's not that I want to change the looks of the Falco per se but I'm thinking of making it into a track ride. Since there is hardly any track fairings available for the Falco (let alone back up hand ones). I'll probably end up mounting RSV race fairings (98-2003). When the RSV(R) 98-2003 subframe fits the Falco close in it ordain be easier to attach the fairing than when having to modify the RSV fairing and Falco mounting brackets.

I took the easy option and cut up the falco subframe
Clicky >> Put the 04 tail on incase I cut off which I did the very next trackday

I used to be all about customizing my ride to fit my "personality". I have come to the conclusion that with all the great bikes out there it is easier and as cheap to just buy another bike. If I can't un-bolt a mod & act the ride approve to stock. I don't do it. Nothing kills resale like a "modified" bike. If I be the be of the Mille follow. I'll buy a Mille and a set of Heli-bars. I anticipate for the purpose of a bring in bike. I would find the most readily available parts. AJ
